Date Night “Couples Rumba Dance Class”

About the Class:
The perfect ‘Date Night’ so grab your honey and your dancing shoes and join us for an amazing evening.
Our evening will begin at 6:30 - start off with a glass if wine or bubbles while we ‘loosen up’ and meet new friends. At 7:00 we will move into Debbi’s Dance Studio for a one hour RUMBA class. After class we will gather in The Cellar @ Linnea’s for a glass of wine, bubbles or port.
Every ballroom dance has a personality, the Chacha-cha is cheeky and sassy, the samba is an absolute Mardi Gras flavored dance, but the RUMBA is the dance of romance and love…
The process of teaching the rumba is very simple and easy… the amazing Karri Hemphill will teach five competitive syllabus moves, all within the dance of rumba, that you can string together in any order and connect in repetition to dance for an entire song.
The rumba lends itself to a variety of music types, so you’re never limited in the event that you might attend… weddings, anniversary's, reunions… and it’s a great start in the process of learning many more dances within ballroom, .. Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing? Cha cha cha!
About the Instructor:
Karri Hemphill was raised in West Seattle and graduated from West Seattle high school. She was a competitive figure skater all through her youth, which made for an easy transition into ballroom dancing. Karri has taught adult classes at Debbi’s Dance for many years.
Karri and her husband of 46 years have one son and 3 beautiful grandchildren.
Class Cost $60 per couple
